Free Gmail signature generator
Fill in your details, pick a template and a colour, and copy a finished signature into Gmail. Free, with no account and no access to your Google account.
Example details: start typing to see your own.
Everything stays in your browser: nothing you type is sent to us or stored. The only thing loaded is your logo, by your browser, from the address you enter.
How to add it to Gmail
Copy your signature above, then:
In Gmail on the web, click the gear icon at the top right, then See all settings.
On the General tab, scroll down to Signature and click Create new.
Give the signature a name (only you see it) and click Create.
Click into the empty box next to the name and paste (Ctrl+V, or ⌘V on a Mac).
Under Signature defaults, choose the new signature for new emails and for replies and forwards.
Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
Your logo is not copied into Gmail as a file: the signature shows it from its web address. So it has to be online already at an https address, for example on your own website.
Questions, answered
Is the signature generator free?
Yes. There is no account, no trial and no Google sign-in. It runs in your browser, so nothing you type is sent to us or stored.
Does it work with Google Workspace?
Yes. You paste the signature into Gmail yourself, so it works for a personal Gmail address and for a Google Workspace mailbox alike. To give a whole Workspace organisation the same signature, Eigenlaut can write them all from your directory instead.
Why does the logo need a link?
A signature pasted into Gmail shows its images from a web address, so your logo has to be online already, for example on your website. Only https addresses are accepted: open the logo in your browser and copy the address from the address bar.
Can I use the signature in Outlook or Apple Mail?
The signature is HTML with inline styles, which most mail apps accept. Paste the copied signature into your app’s signature settings, or use Copy HTML where an app asks for the HTML source. The steps on this page are for Gmail on the web; other apps name their settings differently.
Why use Eigenlaut for a team?
When everyone pastes their own signature, they drift apart. Eigenlaut writes every signature in a Google Workspace organisation from the directory and keeps them in step. It costs €1.25 per mailbox per month, or €1.00 billed yearly, for at least 3 mailboxes, after a 30-day trial without a card. No VAT is charged (small business under Section 19 UStG).
Signatures for a whole team?
Eigenlaut keeps every signature in a Google Workspace organisation in step, filled from your directory. 30 days free without a card, then €1.25 per mailbox per month, no VAT (§ 19 UStG), for at least 3 mailboxes.
